  • Looking for Ideas for Funding

  • Hi Loretta,
I'm a big fan, and would like to ask for your help. I've been a volunteer trainer at the Plymouth and Quincy Career Centers since last Summer (2009). Each month I teach a class in each center to between 10-30 people. I started with a class "How to Stay Positive While Unemployed" and now teach "How to Create Your Ideal Job." I love teaching this audience (I have been laid-off 5 times in my career), and the feedback I get from the participants is extremely positive. I would like to find a way to get a grant or some backing so I could get paid something for doing this, and was hoping you might have some suggestions of where to start looking. Thanks so much for any ideas you may have for me!
    With love and gratitude,
    Cecily

  • Hi Cecily,
I would like to praise you for the work you have done for the Career Centers. These people must feel very lucky to have you. Certainly getting paid would also be a great opportunity for you continuing your work.
    Have you looked into www.experienceproject.com
They would have some answers or the direction you need to go towards.
Keep up the positive influence you are having on people!
    Love Loretta
