When you join Loretta's discussion boards, you agree to abide by our policies to ensure a safe and comfortable place for everyone. By participating in Loretta's message boards, you are agreeing to abide by our Policies.
If We Quote You
Your words can be filled with wit, wisdom and insight, so we may quote you on our site or in our newsletters. If we republish your quote, your identity will be protected. We will identify you only by first name. We will not republish anything you write that we think could be deemed personally endangering, inflammatory or embarrassing to you without your consent.
Our General Policies
Post and reply often and responsibly; be helpful and friendly.
Feel free to lurk and learn from other people's posts.
Welcome newcomers with a greeting and help them feel comfortable.
Agree to disagree--respectfully.
Offer opinions, not judgements. Never "go on the attack."
Be yourself--stressed, sad, joyful, confused--as long as you always act with respect to yourself and others.
Keep your personal information personal.
Keep your language clean and unoffensive.
Never, never post commercial messages.
Don't duplicate messages on more than one message board, keep on topic.
Don't post copyrighted information.
Don't post unless you are at least 13 years old
Give us feedback about inappropriate posts (we may not catch them as quickly as you do), suggestions or complaints to email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org appreciate learning about your ideas.
Harassing, offensive, vulgar, abusive, hateful or bashing communications--especially those aimed at sexual orientation, gender, race, color, religious views, national origin, or disability--will not be permitted. BEFORE you post a message that is intended to embarrass, humiliate or harass another person or group of people, stop and think first! Harassing communications are considered to be those that may cause distress, embarrassment, unwanted attention or other discomfort.
Don't Get Removed!
Obscene or harassing messages and commercial solicitations will be removed. If individuals consistently behave inappropriately, we reserve the right to exclude them from posting. If you read a post or encounter a member that you feel is in violation of our Policies, please email us at email@example.com@lorettalaroche.com
We Reserve the Right to remove a post which does not relate to the topic being discussed in the board. In addition, we reserve the right to organize, discontinue or replace message boards in order to best serve the majority of our members. For example, narrow-interest or minimal activity topics may, at our discretion, be deleted entirely.
We also reserve the right to prohibit or delete messages that are thought to violate applicable law or that may be harmful to other members, our communities, or the rights of Loretta LaRoche & Co. or others. However, we do not have the practical ability to restrict communications that might violate our Policies prior to transmission on AOL or the Web, nor can we ensure prompt removal of offending message board posts.
